How to choose the Oriental rug that is perfect for your room?

A very important thing you should know about Oriental rugs is that none of the authentic Oriental rugs are made of nylon or polypropylene. Traditionally they are made with wool or silk and are either knotted with pile, or woven without pile.

Antique Oriental rugs are very rich colored and have very beautiful patterns. Often feature decorative cotton fringe and traditionally are very durable.

Hand-knotted Oriental rugs are the most expensive and longest to make, but they are still very much appreciated for their beauty, style and elegance. Usually antique Oriental rugs are named after their place of origin. The Oriental rugs I present you above originate from India.
