How to choose the Oriental rug that is perfect for your room?
A very important thing you should know about Oriental rugs is that none of the authentic Oriental rugs are made of nylon or polypropylene. Traditionally they are made with wool or silk and are either knotted with pile, or woven without pile.
Antique Oriental rugs are very rich colored and have very beautiful patterns. Often feature decorative cotton fringe and traditionally are very durable.
Hand-knotted Oriental rugs are the most expensive and longest to make, but they are still very much appreciated for their beauty, style and elegance. Usually antique Oriental rugs are named after their place of origin. The Oriental rugs I present you above originate from India.
India Loom Rugs' and their best-selling collection of oriental rugs (the Windsor collection) blends casual and elegant patterns with sophistication and class to give you just what you need to achieve the right look and ambience of your favorite room.
The handmade Oriental rugs are made with two types of knot: Persian and Turkish. The Windsor collection is also hand-knotted using hand-spun wool and features 8/8 construction. Which type of knot is used for these particular rugs is not of such great importance, however you could know it if you want. What really matters is that these luxuriously looking Oriental rugs of high quality are at very reasonable prices, that I am sure you will like.
The hand-tufted rugs (most of the rugs you see above) have a flat surface. Although they can be made with combinations of fibers, the Fereghan hand-tufted rugs are made of 100% wool.
If you are worried about the Oriental Rugs Cleaning, then stop worrying right away. Everything will be OK if you have the Carpet and Rug Cleaning Kit at hand. I know it may sound like an ad, but I have tried it and it works great. To tell you the truth I’ve managed with carpet and rug dirt, spots, and spills even without this kit, but since I bought it – it’s magic – much faster and easier, and with very little efforts.
